The Dragonfly Society - Ch 10In the mountain range of Amondale lurked many secrets. One could not distinguish a path within the maze of pines, so dense that they blocked out the sun. The needle scattered floor was damp and murky, only patches of daylight breaking through, this dappled wood was the stuff of nightmares and few ventured across its threshold. It had a sort of eerie silence about it, all noise was suffocated at its birth, everything was muffled under the weight of the rock. It was as if no life existed.
